=============== Servers ===============Currently TF2Newbs.com is running two Killing Floor servers. One public and one semi-private
113.212.76.14:7707 [TF2Newbs.com] Octoland <Normal (10 Waves)>
113.212.76.18:8808 [TF2Newbs.com] Octoland <Hard (10 Waves) (Newbs Haven)> (pw: newbs)
Bull Dog is your primary Admin for both of these servers.
The best way to contact me is to join the
Newbs Killing Floor group and send me a message through Steam.
=============== Communication ===============The in-game voice chat is subpar. This is a co-op game and it benefits from good communication between teammates.
I *highly* recommend downloading and installing
Mumble (Download the latest Stable version).
Even if you don't have a microphone I still recommend installing Mumble. Being both deaf and dumb is a heck of a lot worse than just dumb.
CmptrWz has generously provided the TF2Newbs community with a Mumble server. Connection information for it is below.
Label: I use "TF2Newbs.com", however it doesn't really matter what you call it
Address: mumble.tf2newbs.com
Port: 64738
Username: <insert your name here>
Password: <leave blank>
Important: Mumble has an in game overlay that allows you see who is talking. This overlay does not play nice with Killing Floor's Direct3D 9 renderer. You have two options, disable the overlay (turn on expert config in mumble to expose it) or use the DX 8.1 renderer (called Direct3D in the game). You can also start Mumble after you load Killing Floor, but this solution is less the optimal.
=============== Graphics Options ===============I recommend turning Motion Blur off.
Edit: Updated the Mumble information per CmptrWz.
