Failure is success if we learn from it.

Must say, great game y'all. Both sides put up a helluva fight, I feel proud to have been a part of it. While there was some controversy over certain aspects of it, overall it was a fun experience, with plenty of heated battles and hilarity ("Can I eat my pizza now?"). Anyways, the scores are as follows:

OVERALL SCORE: 2-1 Pubstars

Round 1: Granary
Final score:3-2, Comp's favor

This round was conducted in a best of five rounds; Pubstars came back from behind to win the first two rounds, but comp dominated the final three.

Round 2: Badwater
Final score:2-0, Pubstar's favor

This round was a best of three; the team that pushed the cart the furthest twice won. Comp seemed slightly out-of-place, often pushing forward and wiping out the pubstars but forgetting the cart. The Pubstars did not have this problem, and won with a two-round shutout.

Round 3: Turbine
Final score: 7-6, Pubstar's favor

This match consisted of four parts:
First half: (4-4) comp pulls out to an early 2-1 lead, but the pubstars rallied and pulled ahead to make it 3-2, pubstar's favor. Seeking a buffer point they capped a fourth point, but in doing so left themselves open, and the comp team tied it at 4-4.

Sudden death 1: (1-0 pubstars) In order to give the first half a definitive victor, both teams agreed to a 1-point sudden death. It initially looked like a round of turtlefort, with both teams focusing on defense, until a small pub charge broke through and capped.

Second half: (2-1 comp) This round stood in stark contrast to the first half- while the former saw a strong offensive play style, this time it was much more defensive. Both sides tried to chip away at the other's barrier, but the comp team proved more effective with a strong uber-demo/scout combo.

Sudden death 2: (1-0 pubstars) Like the first overtime, both teams were primarily concerned with keeping the opponents off their Intel. Pushes by both sides brought the Intel out of the Intel room, but the defenders refused to let it leave the hallway. Eventually, the pubstars broke this trend, sending their team relay-style to cap the last point for the game.

Overall, a very close, and very fun game. Can't wait for the rematch!

I'm a little surprised we managed to get a sub-forum so quickly. To everyone who played, good game and I look forward to a rematch.
