Because server #1 is run on a T1-83 graphing calculator in Octo's basement, and won't be upgraded without a sponsorer.  It's top export is lag, which was really always fine with JF but I can guarantee you if you try and run a PUG on it everybody will be Crying Some More.

As for server one, I think it would be best to just default back to 24/7 Dustbowl. That, or turn it over to the payload junkies and see how a 24/7 Goldrush fares.

The only thing I worry about with PUGging is like what Dingo said... the server has lag spikes.  Big ones.  Otherwise, I'd be all for that, because it wouldn't interrupt normal games on whatever server gets chosen.

Make it 24/7 Dustbowl since that seems to be the popular demand to try it out.

We did have a PUG server back in the day, and it was used for such things and clan practice. But i believe the server Octo had it on eventually got shut down and it was something no one was willing to pony up money for.

I consider server #1 my test / idle server   I do like to try out new 'theme' ideas there, just because the money impact is 0.  PUGs should be #8 I think.
