Stealing the thread from the steam boards, hopefully with less "OMG That gun's only 20, get to 50 then see what a real gun is like!!!".

Post your best or favorite one(s) that you have so far gotten.. and if you have a nifty story to go with it, do tell :-D

I don't use shotguns or rocket launchers with any great frequency, but I just couldn't help starting to use them after I found an orange shotgun and an orange rocket launcher in two chests that were right next to each other.  The Shotgun's cool and has an x3 explosion effect and about 66 accuracy, while the rocket launcher does about 880-something damage.  Bear in mind that I got these at, like, level 18 or something, right after I found Lucky.

'Course, the downside to the rocket launcher was that it fired four rockets at once, and with a magazine size of four, that meant having to reload after every shot.  For 880 damage in the early levels plus a GIGANTIC blast radius, though, I was willing to work with it. Tongue

I was so confused when I read this because I was thinking you guys were talking about guns in real life.  But then realized you are talking about borderlands this makes sense. Tongue

My elephant gun rifle is pretty badass. Does 900 damage plus a 150% damage and the critical has 70% or more, 91 accuracy, has a 6 shot clip and a decent fire rate. The biggest downside is that it doesnt have a scope, but any criticals i do land can take out a huge chuck out of any enemy types.

I cant remember what mission that i had accomplished gave it to me though. I do love the gun though, a potshot from it will deal around 2000 damage and criticals do 5000 or more.

It was the skagzilla mission, unfortunately when we played through it we got the no-scope version...
