This is your chance to earn an all-payload-access reserve.  That's right!  A reserve on both 7 (Badwater/Goldrush alltalk) and 3 (24/7 Badwater) for a year.  All you have to do is play on server 7.  The most time played at the end of February will earn a reserve slot and honorz on the forums.  AND to reward people who have already spent time there, I will include the beginning of the stat period, starting January 2 I believe.

Remember server 7 is currently Badwater/Goldrush - all other payloads by rtv - including pipeline, hoodoo, cashworks, stovepipe, etc etc etc.  Time starting up the server also counts, so it's in your best interest to jump on and start it up early and often. Cheesy  Have fun and happy cart pushing (or cart defending...).

Also, anyone who posts in this thread about how much they like payload and why, I will  Noiice! them.

*We reserve the right to disqualify based on bans or kicks.  Time spent is counted as time playing, not in spec.  Also reserve the right to make up new rules as we go along.

Failure is success if we learn from it.

I've always liked payload. being able to actually see the objective near completion is really cool. Plus, there's all the sidepaths for flanking, and creating nasty sentry spots. There's no way I'm winning this, but if it means #7 gets populated more often, then I say awesome!

(The real reason I like payload is because you can use the cart to sneak past a multi-sentry nest and cap the point)

haha Good one.  I love the hide 'n' cap - except when it's used against my team and I'm screaming in the mic "CART>CART>CART" and then it dings and we lose.  That's real sad.  + Noiice! despite the sad memories brought back up for me.

I don't play on #3 often, but when I do, it's (usually) great. Being a 2fort regular, I like the Payload maps in that there's more freedom to move around and more opportunities for different strategies. Aside from that, I'm particularly fond of the chaos that can be found on #3; playing with bigger teams is a nice change of pace from smaller games, and I personally love playing as a medic with that many people. Not only is it rewarding to be able to keep everyone alive and see them (hopefully) wreck the hell out of the other team, it's also satisfying to help my team destroy that carefully constructed 3-sentry defense that teams put up at the last point on Badwater.  Grin

Just my 2 cents.

Nice 123-word essay Amadeus.  I like the parenthetical statements and the personal touches.  A+ + Noiice!
