when i load tf2, i cant see any servers on the internet tab, ever, no matter the settings. the game is obviously not being blocked by my firewall, cause i can join a friend in game with no problems. its kind of annoying cause i wanted to try out the highlander mode, but cant search for a server

This is exactly the same as to what happens to me. I was thinking it might be my router but it worked fine on my router back in China.

1. Try deleting masterserver.vdf and restarting steam/tf2.

If that doesn't work a bunch of people on the steam forums are saying the issue seemed to fix itself when they installed halflife 2 (if you own it) but others are saying just going into any other valve/source game and connecting to a server should fix it for tf2 as well.

I tried that, didn't work for me, I'm installing a valve/source game as I am typing this. I will edit my post if it works or not.

Edit: I installed HL2:DM and it DID NOT fix my problem. If it works with a different game, please let me know.
