Karma smites

I'm just giving a heads up but I'm pretty sure if your smiting or giving a noice your supposed to put the smite or noice in a post. I noticed alot people get smited myself included but yet I don't see a single post where the person was smited.
This is a just a simple observation. Correct if I'm wrong for saying this and you don't have to post smites and noice before giving them.
Anyways I think it's a good way to show when someone is being helpful or funny and when someone is not but sometimes it seems like the karma is more of a popularity contest.
Well I wanted to hear other peoples feeling on the matter since I'm not so hot for the karma idea.

agreed. I know there have been nights where I was drunk or pissed and someone pissed me off and I smited them. I do it anymore and I wanted to make sure it doesn't happen again for anyone to do cause we all know people do. So maybe there is some way we can see who smited or noiiced us. That could also solve the problem.

Big point being how can a person fix something there doing wrong when there smited for something if they don't know who smited or for what reason. You guys get that though right?

The noiice/smite images are appreciated in a message.  Smites shouldn't be being tossed around on a whim because someone called you in game - but at the same time they shouldn't be looked upon as some sort of 'score'    Since they are most useful as a general gauge on if someone is helpful or not, they will be most efficient if you tell the person why they went up or down.

On vBulletin if I remember correctly the Noiice/Smite links were on the post (as they are now) but when clicked would actually log the post which the user could then look over in his/her User CP.
