I like the idea. Maybe instead of having it purely by quantity (which encourages bloat and gaming) we make it more like employee of the month where its just recognition of a significant contributor to the forums.
Whatever we think would work to increase use of the forums. It is why I had the word useful, to try and avoid spam.
Though we could say that you need x amount of posts in the month to qualify.
