Unban Request: False Alt Account Detection

So, my friend was playing on one of your 2fort servers, and I figured, "eh, why not join him"

I've never heard of these servers, aside from when my friend plays on it. So I tried to join.

I immediately got a message saying I was banned. Confused and angry, I went to the site to check what I was banned for.

Apparently my IP was linked to another account's, and I was auto-banned for having an ""Alternate Account""

This, is NOT an alternate account. I've never heard of your servers before. I don't even know how my IP can be linked to an already banned account.

To at least prove some degree of "this isn't an alt account", my steam is Level 15, the account is 4 years old, and I have over 2000 hours on Tf2.

I say again: This is NOT an alternate account.

I'd really appreciate if I could talk to someone and get this sorted out.

I did some digging, and apparently you share the same IP address with someone who was auto-banned for griefing on our jump server over two years ago. In all likelihood, you probably moved to where this person got themselves banned, and this is simply our system flagging that IP.

I am not an admin who can unban you, I'm merely posting relevant information. An unbanning admin should be around here to help you out soon.
