I've known for a long time that Man vs Wild is staged. Not only that i've read articles where he actually gave bad information that if someone tried it out they would get killed out in the wild.

Survivorman is a true survival show, and you have to give the guy props for doing everything himself. He has to lug around over 20lbs of filming equipment and make it in the wild without help. He's like chuck norris, but canadian.

Also more than half of the shit Bear Grylls does is stuff that is not practical on any level for people who are in dire need of surviving. Scaling a sheer cliff or a slippery waterfall, etc is stuff no one stranded out in the middle of nowhere will ever do. Survivorman is much more grounded on what a regular person can do to make it.

lol this is just one of these moments where I'm by myself on my vote.  Cry
I like bear and i learned alot from his show I think some stuff is set up so he can show you how to survive or planned ahead but I don't think he's fake.
Plus I just enjoy watching it.

but more votes people we can't let bear grylls lose.  Grin

There was an instance where he killed a beaver or something and "ate the insides" and turned out they had take out all the meat and replaced it with clean meat from another animal. He'd also eaten some type of fish raw and said there was no need to cook it and turns out that the fish usually has parasites. And i've seen him in some episodes drink unclean water telling people that there was no need to worry.

While i understand the entertainment part of his show his advice is to be taken with a huge grain of salt at times.
